My 7 goals for the next 100 days

On Monday, I started a 100-day challenge.

Today, I want to share the seven goals I’m working on.

As a reminder:

For each goal, I’ve set two finish lines:

The Minimum is a result I’d be happy with and the Optimum is what I’d love to achieve if things go really well.

I like this approach because it gives you a clear definition of “enough” while still encouraging you to aim higher.

Let’s start with goal numero uno:

1. Publish content consistently

After taking a little summer break, I want to get back to publishing content.

Minimum: 20 LinkedIn posts and 5 newsletters.

Optimum: 40 LinkedIn posts and 15 newsletters.

These are totals for the full 100 days, which gives me room to write more in some weeks and less in others.

I can highly recommend this approach if you want to stay consistent without tying yourself to a rigid content schedule.

2. Reposition my coaching program

Minimum: Clearly define my ideal client, the core problem I solve, and my program’s promise, structure, and pricing.

Optimum: Test the offer with at least two clients and build the landing page and supporting automation.

One thing I learned over the years is that you can spend ages planning a program. But actually putting it into practice shows you what needs fixing.

3. Launch my personal website

A well-designed website gives you a digital home of your own.

It’s a place for your story, your best content, and a “Work with me” section that explains how you help.

So I set:

Minimum: Publish my personal website with its essential pages.

Optimum: Add a newsletter funnel (including a new lead magnet).

4. Keep showing up at the gym

I already have a solid gym routine.

For this goal, I simply want to keep showing up there.

Minimum: Average three gym sessions per week.

Optimum: Average four gym sessions per week.

The word “average” is important here.

Measuring progress over a longer period gives you more room when life gets in the way.

5. Create and refine my nutrition plan

I already pay attention to what I eat.

But now I want to put a bit more structure around it.

Minimum: Create a nutrition plan with calorie and macro targets, plus a personal recipe library.

Optimum: Test and refine it throughout the challenge so it’s ready for 2027.

6. Get enough sleep

Do you get as much sleep as you’d like?

I definitely don’t 😅.

That's why I want to pay more attention to sleep during this challenge (and hopefully beyond).

Minimum: Average at least seven hours per night.

Optimum: Average at least eight hours per night.

7. Read regularly

Minimum: Finish three books during the challenge.

Optimum: Finish five books.

I’m currently reading a cool fantasy novel before bed (totally recommend this habit). If you have any book recommendations, I’m all ears.

And that’s the full list.

I’ll keep you posted on how it’s going.

Now I’m curious, Reader:

What do you still want to achieve this year?

Hit reply and let me know.

Dave

P.S.

15 people have already replied, saying they want to start their own challenge.

You’re still welcome to jump in.

Reply “I’m in” and I’ll send you the Notion template so you can set your own goals and track your progress.

Hey Reader, One thing I’ve been working on during my 100-Day Challenge is figuring out where I want to take my business next. And after months of thinking (and probably overthinking), I’ve finally made a decision: I'm expanding my LinkedIn coaching business with a new done-for-you service. 🥳 I shared the story in a recent LinkedIn post. 👉 Click here to read the announcement. Talk soon, Dave PS: What about you? Anything exciting happening in your business lately? Hit reply and let me know.

Earlier this week, I told you I’m starting a challenge. It’s called 100 Days of Progress. More than 10 people replied saying they want to join, which I honestly didn’t expect. 🤩 Before we kick off on Monday, I want to show you the simple structure I'm using for setting goals and staying on track. You can steal this framework (even if you don’t join the challenge). 1. Choose 1–7 goals for the next 100 days For my own challenge, I chose seven things I want to move forward with before the end of...

Over the past few weeks, I’ve taken a little summer break. I spent less time on LinkedIn and paused writing my newsletter. And I’m glad I did. Because stepping away from work for a while freed up mental space and gave me more time to think. …about where I’m at… …and where I want to go. This led to an uncomfortable realization. I’ve been working on a few projects over the summer and making some moves here and there. But I was lacking a clear direction or finish line. Maybe you can relate. When...
